Yep, I was pissed off when I found that out too. I'm lucky like Jaclyn though and most of my classes are small, but still - why take away such a great thing and allow such stupid things as 'vampire biting?' (that one just annoys me!)

I have zero problem with Facebook opening up to the general public (I can always stand to be less of an elitist/snob--might as well start with my online self) and I don't even mind some of the applications. But I'm right there with you on the issue with the courses. One of the supremely useful things about Facebook had always been the ability to find people in your courses. I agree that if you decentralise that feature (that is, open it up to third-party application creators), the utility of it is all but diminished.

*sigh*

I guess I'm lucky that my classes here are all going to be fairly small. My largest, core classes are going to have no more than 30 people. The rest . . . at least 5 people, certainly no more than 20!
